Introduction to networks and the Internet
All the information presented so far relates to the computing system and its individual use. In the last 30 years, however, and especially since the beginning of the 3rd millennium, a non-networked and Internet-based computing system is no longer designed!
Unless all the "things" are connected to the Internet, a computer, laptop, tablet, or an Internet-connected phone, and / or not participating in a network, it is used at less than half of its real potential. The interconnection in a network and more networks in what the current Internet has become is not a "magic" or functional function of a computing unit, it was an evolutionary process that has taken place over the last 50 years and which have led to the development of new technologies and peripheral devices up to a structure such as that in the picture below [1]:
